Question

I'm thinking about getting a JetSki and would need to be able to tow it around. The MY03WRX has a detachable towbar available as an option, the STI doesn't
*If* it fits (dealer Wilsons kindly offered to let me bring the car in and offer it up) can anyone think of a definitive technical reason why I wouldn't want to do it?
Regards
Chuck

AFAIK you can get a fixed and removable type towbars for MY02 STI's, how do I know well I helped someone on here fit a removable one!
I'm sure a MY03 would be no different.

definitely advise against it... one day you'll forget that you're towing it along and a little poke on the throttle (as you do) will see the last of any jetski

Chuck,

I can confirm the Detachable one fits the MY02 STi's without any problems, and I can't see the MY03's being any different (OK the rear bumper is slightly different, but the same as the MY03 WRX).

You can't really see it when detached.

Send me an e-mail, and I'll let you know more.

Cheers

John

Wink

Thanks folks. The STI is the family car so the travelling rug and nodding dog are already fitted. I've got another car for fun

If you've not bought a towbar yet, a friend who is apart to PX his UK300 has the detachable Subaru item which he has only used twice for sale.
Give me a call if you're interested.
