Question

Thinking of getting some plates done at fancyplates at some point, and was wondering what the concensus of opinion is regarding which would look better on the front of the car?

Car is a '98 DGM Sport.

So, normal long plate, or 4x4 style taller, shorter plate.
Or to put it more simply, like which one of these:

Thumbs up

I've just ordered a set from here, standard shape with scooby logo, check it out not a bad site, looked at fancyplates but could not find exactly what i had in mind. Did you know you have got to fax or e-mail a copy of your V5 as proof of your identity when you order a set, it's law now a new security measure.
The shape of the front plate may be dictated by what logo you want on them ???????

Just a tip becareful with front square plates as the bottoms sit on the lower part of the bumper and over time they leave a line and mark it. Okay if you leave a square on otherwise you will need to get the bumper resprayed if you want it looking mint again. You could try and put something on it to stop it marking or try and get a slightly smaller square so it wont rub.

Mine doesn't - there is a small gap between the two (only about 2mm)

If it's a vertical gap, then it would get larger, not smaller BuRR

I had a square plate with a gap, but found that it somehow scratched the bumper below it.

Just warning you.

Recon mine must be a little smaller - make sure you specify the size when you buy them.
Not had any scratches on mine yet (touch wood )

Like we have said just a warning and your risk but at least you know . My previous scoob had one and it looked good but it marked the bumper quite noticeably. Never again although I have a nice square rear one.
