What don't you like?

I've just been out and washed the scooby. The paint is getting chipped, the wheels are corroding around the edges of the spokes and bird **** leaves marks on the paint. It looks like its done 50k miles and a couple of hard winters. Not good for 7 months and 6,000 miles.
It would be nice if the wheels were varnished inside as well as out, and they used a better quality paint.
Colin.

Yes, but, do you still like driving the things? ...
Running costs .... Crappy horns ... no heated mirrors ...that's a surprise.
The horns on my R220 Turbo coupe are adequate but nowhere near as nice and tunefully strident as those on my Montego Turbo. Visit your local breakers and whip off a pair of Montego horns (located inside front nearside bumper) .... 2 quid last time I did so .... not quite Inter City 125 Air Horns but more that adequate ... Sorted ....

it's pretty clear on here what the downsides are ... if you bought without realising them you should do bit more research next time.
if you want better materials and build quality you know where to find it, it well publicised.
there's a for sale forum on here you could use to do a swap ?

So which scoobs 'DO' have heated mirrors, as they are referenced in my Handbook that came with the car
It says they come on (if fitted) with the rear heated windscreen switch

Hmm what do i *hate* about the scooby. Tough one..... Thinking about it I hate the way it whispers in your ear when you are driving sensibly down country roads.
You press the accelerator and suddenly this soft voice appears over your left shoulder (go faster) it whispers (go on you know you can take this faster), 'No' you say 'I'm out for a sensible driver, and besides it's a sunday and I dont want to scare the grannys' But this only lasts about 10 seconds before you are persuaded and open it up, and start pushing that bit harder....
Next thing you know it's 150 miles later, you have to fill up again and the blue speeding ticket fairy has appeared over the other shoulder.

All Japanese alloy wheels are pretty crap for corrosion at the moment. Honda S2000s have a big problem as do Toyota Celicas. They are probably all made by the same firm.

dazman, check that you didn't first run those idiots into the bonnet scoop and through the intercooler...that's why they could be stuck on your bumper ?
