276bhp standard (+ mine has cat back and ITG) and 1240kgs MY00 WRX Type RA does have AWD rather than FWD so you have a few more drivetrain losses with AWD.
Could it do 0-100 in 12 in the wet

Brakes are seriously crap on the GTI-R's tho. Went for a drive in my mates and i felt like Fred Flintstone pushing on the ground to stop.
Nearly didn't.... stop that is
(Edit)
Just remembered - the only thing they really had going for them as the nissan umbrella in the drivers door - now that was handy!

there should be a rolling road and 1/4 mile thrash then things would be a lot diffent dont ya think
they are the best pocket rocket of all time.
its because you own scoobys thats why you sslag it off but when it comes down to it it is a mental little car and on paper not much can touch it to 110mph

It's all in the heritage my dear fellow. how many of theses have won a WRC, Group A, Group N or BRC event. Not many if at all.
I like owning a car that I can take to events and watch guys with similar cars, thrashing them along forest tracks sideways and think to myself, I've got one of those.

you will find the best poket Rocket as you say would be the R5gt Turbo. 1.3lt turbo.....had mine stupidly quick..200+bhp...used to eat anything out there...had a 1/4 against my friend, me driving my subaru and him in that......0-60......JESUS it was close.....
The Pulsar is designed by the same people who make the couches for DFS....ugly as **** and spongy....
dont get me wrong there pokie enough, but no matter how hard you try...its still not a skyline....because it comes a poor second to the R32...cheaper, more fun, does not eat clutches....
hehheeh
all the best

yes but name a car that will cost you 5500-7500 that will keep up with the skylines scoobys etc etc.
scoobys are a good car dont get me wrong but but for moneywise the "r" will always win hands down.
a good "R" well serviced and looked after will eat a **** load of other jap motors.
the r5 gtt is a very good car for a 1.4 but at the end of the day the "R" is in a different league.
and how can you say its ugly its a great shape

Or how about a Skyline? GTS-T's are available at that money and even some GT-R's show up at around 8, so why bother with the GTI-R?

I take it the R doesnt stand for reliability then
These cars are good cars, totally outdated now though, and nissan should (possably) think again of doing a 4x4 turbo'd car (which doesnt weigh in at the slightly heavier weight that the GTiR does )
Tony
PS ill stick with my scoob to a GTiR thanks

Its pig ugly now and it was pig ugly then but it is rapid and cheep..................err thats about it and it wont keep up with skylines...................well it might if you define some sort or criteria
