Simon,
Welcome back to the scooby pack!
Glad to see you haven't let that well setup evo turn your head.
I think White is the standard colour for RAs. You could try to find a V-Limited with the RA bodyshell in blue, but it would probably forgoe the diff control in favour of ABS (which has a fuse, you know ).

Hi All
When I recently bought my Lotus, many of you were very gracious in saying nice it looked and how much you hoped I would enjoy it, but then left a little comment to the effect of... "You won't last... you'll have a scooby again in no time!"...
Well, I have no excuse!
The Lotus has been a catalogue of disasters in terms of reliability and things going wrong, which I half expected, but finally got to the point where Monday morning I rejected the car.
The dealer (who at this time will remain nameless) appears to be acting in a commendable way and has agreed to give me a full refund based on the trouble I have had.
So this all means that I am on the lookout for a nice Scooby!! I know, I know...
I only want to spend about 15K on an RA of similar with the diff control. If you know of one (which isn't white!!) please let me know.
I have to say... while the Lotus was working, it was the most fantastic car I can imagine. The attention it drew was both fantastic and a bit concerning at times, but on the whole gave a great sense of pride.
I will really miss it, but to be honest, not as much as I still miss my old WRX!!
I am also in the process of buying a really nice 3 Door Cossie Rally car I saw last night. So I'm looking forward to some serious fun motoring!
I'm looking forward to being able to converse on here in an ownership capacity again... if you'll have me back!!

You join a growing list of owners who have sold their Scoobies and then realised how much they miss it. Ive done it twice.
Your not the first and wont be the last. There will be more Evo owners.

Simon,
I'm glad I didn't buy one. Utterly gorgeous and fantastic to drive but I just new it was going to be a pain in the ****, and no one likes a pain in the ****.
I've got my new Supra and I'm happy, very happy.

Simon,
Sorry to hear that your ownership experience was biased too far toward the negative..
I enjoyed our ride at MIRA - I almost even fitted into it
What problem was the final straw?
Cheers,
Alex

I knew I was onto a hiding!! I really don't know why I told you all!!!
Thanks for all the nice comments, and 'up yours' to all the other ones!
john
You nasty bugger! I don't think anyone really needs any encouragement, but thanks anyway!!! (Thanks for your help re the Rally Car!)
NeilF
I'm not really keen on the white. Personal preference I guess. I have seen one in Sonic Blue, which would be ideal, but not sure if they exist at the age I'm talking about.
I really need to find one quickly though, because, Moray has just reminded me about the Evo V I drove, which was (unusually) stunning to drive. hmmmm... No, I don't think I'll make the same mistake twice!
AlexM
No *one* particular problem really, it's a long story.
Kev
Thanks! The Lotus was fabulous round MIRA, totally different experience to the Scooby though. The lap in the Scooby was more aggressive, but the Lotus was more sideways, and smoother.
Cheers guys

Simon.
Welcome back
You've only sold the Lotus so I couldn't have the ride you promised me.
The prodigal son?
Mike.
P.S. I won't mention it at MIRA on Sunday. well not much!

Glad I could count on you all to be grown up about this!

Anyway.. I don't need one of your poofs cars now, I've bought a real MAN's car!!! Or so Mr Rainbird would have you believe.
Mike
Sorry mate! It probably wouldn't make it round an entire lap anyway.
I'm sure you won't mention it much!
Nightmare
Don't be silly mate, no problem. I'm still glad I owned one for a bit. Just don't ever speak to me again! You lying t@sser!
Cheers guys
