Where has my original post gone?
Whats the best technique for repairing this as I can't afford to pay for it out of my own pocket at the moment.
Have protected no claims bonus but am sure they will still sting me if I make a claim.
There is no dent, just badly scraped. Any suggestions much appreciated.
P.S. wouldn't have bloody happened if the silly old biddy down stairs didn't let her visiting relatives block me in However me effing and blinding and getting very lairy right outside her window at the time seems to have made her relatives park more appropriately since
Anyway here is a pic of the damage:

Thanks in advance for any help given

Take the finest sand paper you can find, treat the spot till there are no deep scratches anymore.
Then use a paint stich or spray for repairing the spot.
You can also consider a treat with a primer...
I did it with my bumper, same spot as you have, and you must take a very good look to see were it is now...
Just be patient and do it better slow and good than fast and crappy
i don't think it's worth giving **£ to a paint shop for such a minor spot...
Creepy

I don't think you should be that expert to spray it without tape.
But also don't tape it to tight, leave an area about 1 inch around the mark
You can spray it out on the edges, and also use a clear laquer to seal it. Then let it dry for at least 6 hours, better heat it up a litlle, like in a real paintshop.
Then you can use a wax to soften the the spot and remove the so called spray dust,
Keep in mind that spray-paint is very airborne so you better cover the whole car, especially the roof and bonnet.
Remember to work very carefull, don't rush things, spray in several layers, but apply the clear laquer when the final layer of paint is still wet, than you have a better result...
And when you work in a garage, wet the floor and don't make lots of dust when you're painting...

Cheers Creepy thats very helpful advice
Just need to get the paint and wait for some warmer sunnier weather now, oh and a stack of newspapers to cover the car in
Anyone know if you claim with protected no claims whether you still get an increase in premiums at next renewal? IE they ask you if you have made any claims in the last 5 years etc and if a small paint job claim would make any difference even if you still have full no claims bonus?

Here in Belgium, the insurance sucks. I have a full covering but when I have things like this I repair them myself.
The point is, when you have severe damage, like an attempt of stealing, or a crash... the insurance will pay. But if you claim several little things, they can throw you out, and than you have a serious problem to re-insure your car, at a much higher price then.
Better make it a good sunday-in-the-sun job.
Keep me informed about the result here;..

Cheers Creepy, will do m8. Will check with a friendly body repair bloke I know just to get a price off him. You never know, he might do it a lot a cheaper than what I have guessed at and always worth asking just in case. I reckon I'll be doing it myself but will let you know what happens etc.
