Also if it's your first scoob, it gives you a few days/weeks to get used to it before you start having a right laff
Apparently (So the story goes
) The cars come from the factory with special"running in" oil which is excellent for bedding the engine parts in but not particularly heroic at dealing with the higher workload of a hard worked engine.
After 1000 miles (set at that because it's easy to remember) the oil is changed for the more usefull stuff. Hope this helps
