Thanks for the reply.

I have bought the car brand new with these parts pre-fitted by the dealer.
I was interested in how good the system is and if anyone has any experience of it?

Another question is, most of the chat on here seems to be about the older models, what do you guys think about the new STI?

Hello all, this is my first time on here. I have just purchased a 2003 STI, new style, new lights. I have ordered it with a full trust exhaust and an induction kit also.
Could anyone tell me if the trust pipe is any good? For the money it wants to be. The guy in the garage said it is a pipe to give added BHP without it being too loud. Anyone got any comments on this?

Oh and she is WR blue of course ....haha

Available here. Quite cheap. Are you hoping to maintain the warranty with these mods?

Also here.

Palatine hasd a trust backbox on his forester. He's posted in the forester forum on www.nasioc.com about it recently.

Cheers guys.

I believe trust exhaust are quieter than the off the shelf UK stuff coz it has to conform to Jap regulations, but that it gives quite a hefty BHP gain.
Lets hope its good and yes my 3 year warrenttee still stands with the mods fitted

Gary,

Just a small point.

Using anything other than Subaru approved parts will technically invalidate your warranty. Having said that, I know many dealers use the phrase 'it'll be fine, just make sure you bring it back to us if you have any problems'.

In view of the fact a dealer making such an offer wouldn't want it made public, might I suggest you edit your earlier post to remove the dealer's details.

Josh,

This particular dealer offered me the upgrade without pushing. He has been dealing in Subaru for the past god knows how many years as well as TVR and working closely with prodrive. His opinion is that mucking about with the ECU etc can give the car problems in later life.
While I understand your comments I believe this upgrade is available to anyone who drops in to his dealership and buys a car.He also retains the 3 year warrentte for the car, which i understand will pretty well be useless with any other dealer other than him.
I have to admit I was considering a ppp sti7 but decided to go for this instead.
Thanks for the comment though, I am learning fast

DO YOU HAPPEN TO WORK FOR THE DEALERSHIP ?????

Anyone else had any experience?

Did it improve performance and sound when it was on the car? Did you have the whole system or just the backbox?
