Morning Guys and Girls.
When mororway driving, car starts to judder / vibrate causing me to have to ease of the gas. It only seems to do this at speed, and during normal town and country driving everything seems fine.
Has anyone else had this problem? Could it be something as simple as wheel balancing or something more serious ?

If it vibrates at a set speed say 70 mph and goes away at say 80 then its probably the wheels need balancing.
From what you say, ie goes away with town driving, it does sound like this and I would get them balanced first just to elimate this possibility as it does not cost too much < £20

Check your tyres to see if there is any abnormal wear (don't forget to check on the inside), that would give you a clue if it's a problem with the balancing.

I second what STI Frenchie said . I once had a puncture and ran with low pressure in one of my rear tyres. This damaged the tyre internally ,wearing a groove on the inside of the tyre . The groove was so big you could get your finger in it and I was very lucky not to have experienced a blow-out . When the tyre was removed from the wheel ,there was a good two hand-fulls of rubber pellets (from the groove) and it was these inside the tyre that caused the vibration . Needless to say I now watch the tyre pressures very carefully !

Well, went to get wheels balanced but it looks like at least two of them are on there way out so may end up replacing all four corners.
At present have Pirelli P-Zero ASymmetrico in 205/45 ZR 17s and fancy a change.
Anyone got any stories re other types ??
