My new favourite car ever!
#1
I'm only 23 but have at last got the car i've wanted for the last 6 years. An M reg scooby estate, (as i can't go for the serious ones or the insurance would be absurd and i think the hatch looks far superior to just an average saloon - looks like a Vectra or Mondeo!) in green but i really want some green rear light clusters like Hella do for Golfs and that sort of thing.
I'm not sure this is possible but can you let me know? If not, which would look better? The Lexus style, or just the WRX red/white ones? I've got a 3 1/2 inch Prodrive tailpipe which releases the best sounding engine under £30k but the lights need to go for some more interesting ones.
Secondly, i love it from every angle but the front. What's the best looking way of keeping the original front but adding a lip/splitter, etc like that to stop it looking like an off-roader which has the clearance of a dump-truck?
Finally, how much, where from and how easy to fit are some replacement side repeaters which aren't orange? And ditto for the ones in the front valence too?
Thank you so much for any help and i will post pictures as soon as it looks slightly less than standard. I love it more than anything.
Regards
Lawrence

Depending on whether you like angles or curves, the front splitters to look at are the MRO or the STi IV. These will bolt straight on to your bumper.

Welcome to the "waste all my boss's time browsing scoobynet" dark side.
(edited to say I am the boss so i will waste all the time I want)
Lights:
best bet are the STI ones (check for group buys on here as there are always ones on the go.Also Paul @TSL may be able to help
Lip:
Been thinking about this myself and there so may options that it comes down to personal choice.Do a search or check under the Members Gallery section.STI5-6 are all good choices but there are some custom choices.Check SIDC and the links under manufacturers.
Detangoing your car:
I got mine from Scoobyworld They are doing deals where you can get the side repeaters and front indicators with silvertec bulbs as a package.Easy to fit and the cheapest mod you can do.
hope this helps and enjoy mate

Hello
...sure you'll end up buying lots of bits and pieces for your Scooby
I love the STi lights, instead of the Lexus ones, but check out MRO for the lipspoiler - www.mroscoobystyling.com partic. nice looking silver scoob on the MY93-98 air dam page
There's another interesting thread in styling here: http://www.scoobynet.co.uk/bbs/threa...hreadid=173100
Hope that helps

I also have a Wagon, and although it's the Sport and not the more dazzling Turbo I have found TSL to be extremely helpful. They sell AutoArt indicators and matching sidelights in most colours inc. black, clear, crystal, smoked and blue I think....great service and friendly staff.....even for my Sport

Great to see a car enthusiast working in Media Sales for Autocar mag!
Maybe you can have a word with the folk that do the classified ad's data input and make sure we don't see too many more "Alpha" Romeo's or "Imprezza"'s for sale!

Lawrence, welcome.
Your best bet for rear lights is TSL, and go to DR motorsport, as they do a pretty darm good P1 front lip replica.
As for the indicators, easy.
