extreme machines 0-60 challange held at a private location in Derby last saturday
all of the 20 cars had to be road legal, mot'd, tax'd, road legal tyres and legal exhaust. although i was a bit concerned about the road legalness of some of the cars especially the ones that came to the event on a trailer?!
i managed a 4.5sec but messed up slightly - i changed into 3rd after my speedo read 60+ but according to the timing eqiupment i hadnt reached 60! so i should have taken it to the limter in 2nd! and saved time on a not needed gear change
my launches were ok though (although a bit of wheel spin may have helped), mainly thanks to the Exedy racing clutch id had fitted at TSL the week before.

From that clip it looks like you could get it down to around 4 sec dead if you didn't lift off on 1st-2nd and without the shift to 3rd.Good launch-clutch seemed to hold up well, how do you rate them, where did you get it and how much?I'm thinking of ordering one very soon.

skiddus_markus, i think the exedy clutch is very good indeed, you launch it all day long, revs seems to spin up faster too with the lightened flywheel it comes with, only down side is thats its a bit juddery at low revs - if ya drive at low revs
i got mine from TSL - £1000 plus vat
EXEDY HYPER RACING CLUTCH + LIGHTENED FLYWHEEL

Can I ask what revs you were launching at?
I done the top speed challenge (which also time 1/4 mile) on Sunday and managed a 13.28 which I think was the fastest Scooby of the day. Its worth pointing out that this is on concrete and not tarmac so all times were lower than they would have been on tarmac.
I tried all different revs but best launch was at 6000 rpm. I was getting alot of spin as they were new tyres thought.

Why not cool.. if you think about it for 1 second.. the quat was the blueprint for all 4WD sport cars of today… look at the Pikes Peak quat, the 6R4, RS200, they all came from the original idea…
“Audi garage guys, maybe drunk or stoned” lets get this Quattro 90 quattro… hehe… and a quat coupe , cut them both in half…., now join the 90 front with the coupe back…., stick in a 300+bhp 20v engine and the quat drive train…. heypresto the quattro sport.…. That was back in 1980…. Remember quattro has a small “q” ‘cos Quattro is a trade name. so how much has changed since then?
