While out cruising in the standard WRX03 today I decided to take to the back roads of Epping/Ongar, all was well, I was enjoying myself on some twisty's when after taking a corner, a MERC SL55 AMG appeared 200 yards in front of me. A long clear straight stretch of road ensued, I came up behind the MERC at about 65mph, two car lengths behind him, he drops a gear & floors it, saw I do the same, to my surprise I closed the gap & before I could overtake we ran out of road. He went right I went left.
I thought those monsters were able to out run anything?
Anyone got the specs of one?

Just had a look at the Merc web site, He was definitely toying with me.
55-AMG 0-62.5mph = 4.7 & 155mph Max speed limited.
All for 90+ grand, does it come with a free woman & a house!!!!

I would hope so 
the 0-60 of those things is only half the story. They keep going at that rate
But then for that much money they should really!
