Manufacture year and reg prefix - help please

I need confirmation for a dropdown menu I am putting on the www.CumbrianScoobs.co.uk that the below is correct - I have checked on the DVLA's website and they only list for the new format for the next fifty years and not the old format 
Is this right?:
My Sport was registered on 12th Feburary 2000 making it a V - does the above tally with what everyone else has? (private plates exclided
)

Actually 'R' doesn't look right. I have an 'S' which is Sep '98 and I believe 'S' started in Sep '98, but surely 'R' wouldn't have started in March '97 and continued for 18 months.....or did it?

Thanks guys - all sorted now. Should have the new site pages launched by end of weekend if I can just get my head round this damn asp code...serves me right for using notepad as my text editor
