Wink

just test drove the wrx 03 today. was apprehensive about it, having owned the classic(no problems),and testing the bugeye and it being sluggish. WOW atlast,it goes you know, so much so i ordered one .it put a smile on face as the classic did when i first bought it. it will be here next week as one was already on order, but now its got my name on it. first noticable fault was only that the front seats were a bit short in length under your legs, but i can live with that. reckon i'll run it in first then have ppp or similar, then it will feel like a different car again.
anybody out there who is still wondering about it.i can tell you i've been waiting a couple of years or more for subaru to get it right again and there is no problems as i could feel with handling, power and ride comfort.

I agree - big improvement on the bugeye ... the PPP looks superb too - 0-60 in 4.8!

Thumbs up

The WRX 03 seats a bit short in the leg? Just wondering how tall you are. I've got a WRX on order and am 6 1. Didn't notice any problem during test drive but then that was only for a relatively short time.

Cool

I saw the torque / bhp graphs and through the gears figures from Prodrive for the new PPP - hits more torque than the STI by 3,000 rpm - 5,500. The times through the gears in parts (2nd and 3rd) are actually quicker than a P1 - though the P1 has the edge - and it only an edge - in 4th and 5th. I guess a lot is to do with the driver and of course the P1 / STI has the suspension upgrades to really make the most of the extra power, but suffice to say, it'll make the 03 WRX a serious car - PDG for £1,600.00!

Go on, do it!
