Running in ... but it just makes me smile all the time. I should have got one years ago.

From what i read on here, looks like a fun community as well.

and want to know what to expect...
i am using a fugly on a 53 wrx loan car right now
and the mpg is suprisingly good
i have done 175 miles and still have
nearly half a tank
my classic would have been on a quarter

I have just filled up my Sti8 after the first week of running in and have been getting 22 mpg. Only been short running though. Should get a better picture after a few weeks.

1st tank doesn't look promising. i expect to run-in by week on tuesday, so i'll keep it posted through the 1st week.

700 of the 1st 1000 will be M11/A406 so it won't be indicative of normal usage.

I managed to do 27mpg on first tank, very impressed with that but only taking it steady at the moment. Next tank is optimax, i guess the dealer put normal unleaded in to start with.

I was getting nearer the 27 mark when running it in, although much of that was motorways and dual carriageways.

Now it's run in, and PPP'd everything's back to normal now ie 22ish mpg.

went to a small gathering in cardiff
last night..
sammyh was there with his new sti8
said 100 miles on half a tank
he also thought the dealer had put
normal unleaded in his..strange..
when i asked what fuel to use at
my dealers..
superunleaded or optimax came from
all three people at the counter..
at the same time.

1st tank = 215 miles@56ltrs ... 18mpg !!

not gone over 4k, but have driven most of it up there on a&b roads & town.

we'll see what it's like next week on the duals/motorways.

Just filled up this morning, 207 miles which worked out at 20.2 mpg Not the best but I am sure the mpg will improve as the engine loosens up.

STI7 - Started out at 28mpg during running in period, now running about 20mpg if I'm lucky. She might loosen up with time but your foot gets heavier.
