Ended up red in the face

My first experience of a scooby. Last year I was driving back from the shops in milton keynes in my cobra ( tweeked 5.7 chevy 400bhp)It was early doors, sunny, not much traffic about pulled up at a roundabout, next thing kitted up scooby pulls up next to me & started larging the loud pedal, what did I do?..exactly..put the foot to the floor & took off(2 lanes btw)as i pulled away i was obviously grinning although at the next roundabout he closed the gap. This carried on until we came to a longer straight at which point i decided the scooby needed a lesson in straight line speed. Unfortunately for me I got a bit carried away & left the braking a bit late, started snaking & before you could say "oh no I've just had the wheels done" I'd spun into the central reservation & ended up facing back the way I had come.Needless to say the scooby cruised by & although I couldn't look you just know he was smiling & thinking "wan%er" . Lesson learned, don't drive like a **** just because someone challenges your manhood or like me buy the new sti8 ppp & catch 'em on the bends!

colin, its fibreglass, the aluminium bodied are seriously expensive to buy/repair. Chevy vs ford, when anyone starts a thread on our site on this subject "cobraclub.com" it goes on for ages, basically its down to personal preference & you just can't beat the sound of a roaring chevy it's awsome. For those people looking for authenticity its ford but for us non pretenders it doesn't matter. Your right it is a beautiful looking car, except when facing the wrong way perched on top of a central reservation!

The Cobra sounds outstanding Lardy-wouldn't mind a little clutch in that one!
Is John with the flour mill still around, he had a vintage aeroplane as well. I used to race against him years ago-top guy!
