Was coming back home this afternoon, along the A50 from Knutsford to Holmes Chapel, following a Supra(non turbo as no rear wing), 3 vans and a white Volvo estate. There are tempory traffic lights up, so we all stopped. The lights went green and the volvo sped away with me and the supra stuck behing the vans.
One of the vans turned off just before this mile long straight, so me and this supra nail it past the other two in pusuit of the Volvo, which by now was well in the distance.
We get to 110 ish, caught up the volvo suddenly the supra hits the breaks and hazzards lights come on! I was like what the ****, and hit the horn. Shortly after he turns off so i boot it again after this volvo, only when i catch it up i reallise the tiny red letters on the back saying "police training vehicle!".
Luckily as i caught him up i had to turn off.

you drive like this and you're going to buy an impreza? (i'm assuming thats why you're on here).
Me thinks you're going to have to control yourself.
Saying that I've done similar things recently, had an idiot in a Audi TT annoy me so much I drove to within an inch of my life to shut him up!

When I lived in Notts I used to take country roads to work and often drove in company with police training cars. We used to have some good drives although I used to stay close to the speed limits. Always got a friendly wave when they turned off.

I got a tug a few months back by the Met in an unmarked 5 series. 2 nice coppers, had a laugh and a joke with them, and he said he was kinda hoping I was not gonna stop so easily.... I did offer to go again but they declined lol.
Same thing early in the morning in Streatham too, got a tug, 5am, said they were hoping I would not have booted it as they would not have stood a chance in hell...............doh
Just noticed the post above..... holy crap 4 years !!

I was on my advanced a few years back and we put out two unmarked cars-a S60 T5 and a test car-a Jaguar s type R(one with the big round headlights). We were caught up on the nationals by a middle aged chap with a Magnum type Ferrari(306 GTS???) who wanted to make a 3 car convoy .All went well until he got annoyed as he couldnt pass us,so as we dropped down to comply with the 30's in a village,he blasted past us at about 70.We got the T5 which had strobes+sirens to pull him and our instructor had a gentle "word"-the world dropped out of his **** as he was pulled. We made it worse, coz we were all going for lunch at the same cafe-ah memories!

I had noticed this Sierra 4x4 trying to stay with me but lost him on the last squiggly bit into Bibury where I stopped for a pee.
The plods - as I now recognised them - were just walking into the Gents as I left.
To my utter amazement, the Sergeant was very complimentary about my driving, confirmed I was going to Cirencester and asked if they could chase me the rest of the way as I obviously knew the road!
Utterly gobsmacked wasn't in it, but I had a great blast and got a very friendly wave as we went out separate ways!!!
Today, they'd have locked me up. Aah, those were days...

A few years ago, the Leicestershire police used to come into Gloucestershire on training runs and there is a cracking road from Burford to Cirencester passing through Bibury and along which you can still to this day give it some real welly in safety.

LOL, I wizzed past a white van that had chevrons on the back to make it look like a coppice car - I thought what a tw@t.
As I got along side I saw it had "police" written down the side. I kept my foot in and he flashed his lights
I think he made a note as I got followed and pulled a few days later.

My Uncle was telling me a similar story the other week. Back in the day he was a fairly successful business man and liked his cars, he was one of the first to get an e-type. Well, there he was minding his own business when a Rover SD1 I think started to get a little close so he booted it. For anyone that knows, this was on the Acle straight in Norfolk, almost a dead straight 7 mile road. He had it well above 130 when, you've guessed it, way back in his mirrors the blues were going! He stopped and eventually the plod caught him up and after having a good look round the he car asked my uncle if he could have a go and they went back up the road and hit over 140!
