Hi guys.
thinking of trading my Uk Scooby for a P1, the only thing is it will have to be left on the drive over night, i have CCTV and tracker and the area i live in is nice etc but not sure if the P1 one will attract the wrong attention.
How many of u guys leave your P1 outside and have have had not bother?
Thanks gang Sy

Yes - its outside the house, trackered, alarmed etc.... and next to it sits the GTR (which I would guess is more likely to 'walk'.
Never had any problems - well, not yet anyway.
We have excellent neighbours who are in most of the day and the police check the road a few times a day- so no problems so far !!
My only problem is our DBM turbo 2000 - whent he council comes round with the refuse lorry - the vibration always sets the alarm off !

I guess I wouldn't have a problem with leaving my P1 on the drive but the insurance wants it to be garaged at night. Probably best to get a quote as well to see if it's viable

My car, unfortunately not a P1 but a MY00 Turbo I love dearly, is either parked on the drive or on the road outside the front of the house. The lounge is also at the front of the house. Whenever I go to bed or out I leave the curtains open and a couple of the lounge lights on.

Put a iron bar in your driveway like I did.
You can buy several models of poles like train rails, with a lock on it and a mould to put in the ground.
Make some concrete, dig a hole, put the mould inside, fill the edges with concrete. Let it dry for a while and then you have a retractable Steel Pole to place after your car is parked.
When you are clever enough, like me, you even can put some Voltage on it....
That will scare them enough...

Mine's on the drive, and the drive is literally the length of the car. Which means when its right up against the house the back still pokes out onto the pavement by about an inch.
As there is a decidely crap area just down the road, it concerns the hell outta me! Grown the hedge up next to the car so you can really only see it from one direction.
I couldn't see a P1 being at all safe there! Really depends on what area you live in and what you mean by driveway.

I think guys that it is any Impreza is in danger if it is on the driveway not just P1's, so you need as much security as possible IMHO

I leave my 01WRX on the path, its got one of those key pads in it,so it wont start until you type in 4621.
Im also a bit worried about people breaking in to the house for my keys,so I leave them under the plantpot.
I live in Liverpool,in fact 35 Robbin close,L14 6KW,so I know all about high security.
Going on my holidays tomorrow for three weeks cant wait........
PS Im not daft Ive fill up the scooby, because I reacon petrol will go up in price before I get back.

Sometimes I park my car with the windows open, in full vieuw of everybody, in the centre of the city.
Try to take it, and change yourself in take-away food.
Much kisses and cookies for my doggie and his 42 tooth
I even dare to park it in a suburb full of brownies...
Then is suddenly the whole street deserted because of the looks of my friendly dog...
He's also the keeper of the gate at home...

I leave my P1 in my carpark space outside my flat. I work offshore and cr@p myself every time in case I go home and there is no lovely car in my space.
Thankfully car crime is not that common in Aberdeen...yet.

I don't know about working out where you should park the car !!
But we should keep this thread - as I ever need to move I'll know where to (not)buy a house.
Either some of you are paranoid - or you live in REALLY scary places !
