hello people. i have been following scoobynet for some time now and am pleased to be able to join in since purchasing my lovely new scooby. Its a blue/black bugeye wrx,my01, and have just fitted a Blitz turbo timer. i have a question, i have been offered a s/s magnex back box from a my98 and was wondering if it would fit, or if it could be modded easily enough. is it worth it? regards cliff.

Welcome.
I believe that the backbox off the MY98 wll fit the new age WRX but the centre hanger needs to be modified ...or alternatively just dont fit it as it will still be retrained by the two main hangers.
Whether its worth it depends on how much you are going to pay?
Why not buy a scoobysport backbox off this guy ...I know he is selling one for the WRX cos I contacted him yesterday Steve Jackson admin@drillchase.fsnet.co.uk they sound great.

hello mate - you don't need to own a Subaru to join in - I started posting in order to find answers to the questions I had before buying my Scooby and many folks are still on here after moving on to (dare I say it) bigger and better things
Welcome all the same

hello,
I also came on here because I was looking at buying a scoob.
After about 2 weeks i had reached the conclusion that I just couldn't afford to keep and maintain one - money pit.
Stuck with scoobynet though, to the point its affecting my work

Hello and welcome.
Hmm, Magnex. . . .
If you've got the 5 door don't bother it will be too noisy inside (mine was on my 98 5 door). As for price, sold mine for £80 on Scoobynet.
It did howver sound very nice outside the car, although having tried the Scoobysport since this sounded better.

thanks for the warm welcome. I have a saloon in answer to one of the questions, and the box will cost me 100 squids, im not sure wether its worth the hassle. by the way, does anyone know the off-set of subaru wheels, and the pcd? regards cliff
