2 year service: To dealer or not to dealer?
#1
My P1 is coming up to its 2nd birthday! and the 2 year service is looming, can someone offer some advice, should i take it to my local dealer or have it serviced at a specialists like TSL? Taking in to account the car has a full dealer service history! and the probability that a dealers technicians only see a P1 once in a blue moon! Do you think it would harm the resale value? Cheers!

I'd be more concerned about invalidating the warranty. After 3 years (if that the warranty period) then it's a matter of loss in value versus what you've saved in servicing and parts.
Some cars are hit worse than others. P1 is a specialist car so many people after them will not have too much of a problem regarding servicing as long as reputable people have been servicing it and it has been done regulary and properly.
Someone else may be able to give a better idea of loss in value if not main dealer. My only concern would be the warranty issue.

Cheers Dracoro,I didnt realise the warranty would be invalidated if not serviced by a main dealer before the 3 year warranty is up! I think a specialist would do a more thorough job! what do you lot think, is it worth invalidating the warranty?

not really a question who would do the most thorough job at the service intervals, more of a question something fails mechanically on the car, youre gonna have to fork out alot to fix it
