Just a question that comes to mind when i read the BB. It seems as though the Scooby is the main target for criminals at the moment(for some time really).
With other high performance cars out there, why are the Sccobs the main Targets?
Say for example - the EVO's & Hot Hatches do not seem to get as much attention from them...

4 wheel drive- means good traction in all circumstances- useful when outrunning plod- also if they nick a 5 door they can bung a lot more loot in it than say a Civic Type R

 

could it just be that u r on a scooby forum and u r just hearing about those that are getting stolen?

but if u were a theif, would u steal the impreza or the focus parked next to it?

 

I would say EVOs get more attention than ANYTHING, scooby's included, but most are secured accordingly.

 

Slightly more understated in standard guise than Evo etc - if you are doing a bank you don't want half the high street stopping what they are doing and watching you get out of your motor.

 

Scoobs, evos, big beemers/volvos/mercs ALL high power, safe 4dr cruisers which will take some abuse and out run most traffic cars in the right hands...

BUT i know of minis that have been stolen 'to order" because they r small enuff to fit between anti-ram raid poles
