Dont know about the official Subaru verdict,but this was discussed at length not so long back,and the verdict of most people in the know on here was that it was too thin.........

What's the problem of being to thin? Isn't the viscosity o.k.?

Castrol RS 10W60 is the best, cheap as chips on scoobyshop....
