Used price rip-off!
#1
Have just had a Subaru dealership place a value on a low mileage 98R Terzo in excellent condition with a few mods.
They told me it was worth £5500! They say it won't even reach book price unless it is completely standard!!! A loss of £2K on what they say it books at unless its returned to standard!!!
Anyone else experienced this?

When I bought my Scooby I asked about PX of my 95 RS2000. Dealer listed bottom book because the car was modded and he didn't want it. Only light engine mods, body work was standard. Said book was £2750. I sold it private for £4250 (advertised for £4500). Car was great condition with full history, 49000 miles, never been crashed or painted.
I know the dealer has to make a living but this was taking the p155.

Unless its got a ppp then there at 1k to the price
If they get the chance they will try and get this for free
I would suspect PPP is only worth 30% of the original cost to fit
It is the price to change that is important not how much are they giving me for my car.
Decide on what you want to pay to change and work on that figure is my advice. that's what I have always done.
