I'm shocked at the number of people that manage to loose something insteading of them managing to lose it.....
Still, one cannot always get their spelling perfectly right (or should that be write )

I dont think its fair you having a go at people on hear. Some people may not have the same level of education as you, there schools might not be as good. If people ask for some advise, you shood at least have the decensy to reply without having a go at them. After all their just people!!

Blue - I think that was deliberate - some people have started mixing the 2 i.e. Warranty and Gaurantee
I think thats the point

I know m8 - it was the thought of spelling warranty with ee - even I am not that bad.

Best I've seen was in Cambridge market on a veg stall selling aubergines. They were described as "OBE'S" complete with an apostrophe
I thought it was quite cool, actually

some pet hates
advice noun
advise verb
your - belonging to you
you're - your
they're - they are
their - belonging to them
there - not here
here location
hear - sense relatign to ears.
apostrophies used in places where letters have been omitted
bob's (comes from bob his - as in a possession of bob)
bobs - more than one bob.
and the one i hate most of all.
brought - past tense of bring
bought - past tense of buy.
ie. it is impossible to have brought something over the internet, but you may have bought something whilst out shopping and brought it home with you.
Now that I have finished ranting, it is worth noting that I think people should be allowed to make their own mistakes, as has been mentioned, education standards differ enormously. I know what I should write, but often slip up as my typing is attrocious.
I also remember criticising others only to have branko whose native tongue isn't even english to point out that gauge is spelled au not ua!!!
in short, live and let live. (da da da, da da da, duh duh - live and let die entered my head - sorry)

DJB:& Josh L: thanks for your posts regarding my spelling error
Parallel Import and warrantees
I must humbly apologise as this was a genuine error due to my inability to spell
I have asked questions, and have had replies from other members and improved my knowledge regarding Scooby matters.
When I am on the road I don’t hoot my horn at learner drivers or when out and about take the **** out of others who are less educated than me.
Kindly do the same.

Is it not an Americanism? I too have a laugh at some of the spelling on forums, have a look at some of the ones populated by our younger motorist brethren (lax Power) well worth a laff!

Although I know all the rules I find that when typing I make stupid mistakes and swap letters/words, miss apostrophes etc etc. If its an E-Mail to my boss I go back, check and correct. If its scoobynet ? Well I spend too much time reading/posting already, so just hit submit anyway

there's no such word as warrantee
As in most "ee" word endings (employee, mortgagee etc) it's the person something is granted to. Someone that buys or is granted a warranty is a warrantee.
