scoobynet or SIDC at Ten of the Best II?
#1
Hi
i'm in the process of inviting clubs to next years event, first sunday in august at elvington. last year i approached scoobynet and got help and assistance from simon Hiles, who organised your ten cars.
obviously i am looking to get ten of the fastest scoobs again for 2003, now do i approach SIDC or come through scoobynet again?
i'm not bothered either way, as the event is officially open to clubs or groups. all i need is the backing of one or the other to support the event?
additionally, if any potential sponsor is interested in having a prime position and providing trophies/awards to the Scooby group for fastest car, then drop me an email please.
what are peoples thoughts on this issue?
thanks

Done - put my name down - definately planning to run this year.....and I am sure Mark will be back.
So there's three cars already.
What about
Adam M
David Wallis
Andy.F
Pavlo
There should be a good show if these guys turn up!

i've been contacted today by John Felstead and Anders, one of whom will be sorting the scooby entry list and letting you know how to apply etc.
there is an open rwyb type drag day on 27th april at elvington, (although that events not mine), and we will be running a full practise day there in july (13th) with the full setup. all dates will be posted on the events board later in the season.

didnt realise it was that late in the year.
good chance I might be ready.
what about harvey too?
would enter if I were not a lame driver.
would consider allowing a trusted other to drive on my behalf so that the car gets a fair showing.

i should be driving a rather good spec 22B, lets see if the fastest overall on the handling course is achievable this time.
Anders is the best chap to coordinate this, i am rubish at trying to organise other people.

My car will be ready, but with it's lardy legacy estate shell, I don't think I'll pull some very good times, might be fun though...
Top speed would be a different story though, depending on the gearing, in theory it could go over 190mph.
Gotta get an Impreza RA to put the engine in

Scooby Regular
Hi Chris,
"i'm not bothered either way, as the event is officially open to clubs or groups. all i need is the backing of one or the other to support the event?"
I think you need to liase with Simon or myself on this matter, as regards to backing etc (for the Scoobynet side). It all sounds good stuff, but I think we need some more details etc.
Regards,
Shaun.
