If a Boxster S is only 2 wheel drive and putting out 260 bhp, surely its quicker than almost any standard Impreza (212 - 276) once moving due to its massive power loses through its 3 diffs.

- apart from a type RA maybe.

I am comparing round a dry twisty track - such as Felsteads fave the Nurburgring, lots of fast corners, and no traffic light GP's.

Actually a standard Boxster was quicker around a Don Palmer wet handling circuit than a P1 in a test a couple of years ago....

0 - 60 WRX vs Boxster S is actually identical

of course this implies nothing about handling and speed round B rounds or on a track

at the end of the day i think you would buy a Porker for entirely different reasons anyway (ie. brilliant in the summer, but not so practical as the scoob)

both nice cars

Cool

And welcome to "Horses for Courses part 5"...

P.S. A Boxster S costs nearly twice as much as a Scoob...

you wont lose power through the centre diff unless your spinning front or back wheels.

Besides that, who cares what's faster?

Not wanting to get bogged down in yet another scoob vs.....

P1 was quicker than Boxster s round dry handling track at Miravel in Autocar group handling test in 2000 So maybe you're wrong!

Both nice motors - I'm sure driver skills would be more important in any race than hardware.
