Morning all, don't know if this has already been done as i'm a "scooby newbie" but let's have your views on the best driving roads in the U.K. along with your experiences, Scooby.

North Yorkshire has always been my preferred destinantion for fun roads in the uk, whether by car or bike. Weekends can be extremely busy, but the route Thirsk/Sutton Bank/ Helmsley/Whitby/Scarborough is wonderful!!!

Since moving down Oxfordshire earlier this year I've made regular trips back to Yorkshire to give both car & bike some room to play!! There's too many cameras down here

A44 - Worcester to Aberystwth and back.. driven "correctly" you can have fun staying with some v v quick bikes I know cos I've done it on 2 wheels as well as four

Hi ya Blackbird, thanks for the info. When you're going from Helmsley to Whitby do you go along the A169 and then the A171 to Scarborough. Rosedale Abbey is nice (up Rosedale chimney as the locals call it). Scooby
