My understanding is that the Euro-import version is approx that much (i know someone who has ordered one for this much).. the UK only version will be about the same as the STi7 prodrive type UK (£27-28k).

I don't think so. No prices have been released yet. But if the pricing stays the same the WRX would be 21.5K and this price puts the STI only 1500 quid more. That's too narrow a gap IMHO.
I suspect it'll be 25-26K, maybe as high as 27. Subaru sold all UK Sti's at 26 and 27.5K so I doubt they'll drop the price by much. The reported import prices have been around the 23K mark(thanks Matt for working it out
), which is about the same as a euro imported STI 7.

Saw an advert in my local paper from a large car supermarket in my area and they were quoting £16995 for a 03wrx and £22995 for an 03sti!!
Went and saw them the following day and salesman showed me all the details and said several people had already made orders for these cars. Apparently they are imports from Holland or Belgium.

If it's of any interest to anyone, I'm informed that, following a meeting last week, IM have decided to release prices for the '03 STi and WRX in the first week of January.

For those who dont click the link MT03 STI from Belguim is £22K without alarm or tracker so still sub £23K with bits fitted 4-5 months wait but you need top order asap I think. BTW I have never dealt with keyring cars just saw the advert on here and I bookmarked the site.
