Having just bought a Legacy GT, my first tank of Optimax was emptied at the rate of 18.6mpg . The second at 22 and I'm now on the third - having sussed that if I keep it under 4.5K when the second turbo kicks in, I may see 24mpg!

Thumbs up

Average over 19,000 miles = 16.4mpg

Nearly standard UK my99

Mostly country driving with daily commute into town with very little motorway though

MY02 WRX.

6,000miles = ave. 25MPG.
Seen 29.5 on Motorway cruise, and 22MPG after Gp N rear exhaust and Dawes fitted !!

Ordinary, everyday progressive running with a UK unmodified Turbo Impreza should achieve something within the bracket 22 - 26 mpg. I had this both with my MY'99 and my MY '00, very consistently: and I'm getting about 22 with my STi (UK) except when I get enthusiastic

I've turned the rear spoiler on it's end and only drive with a tail wind and downhill

I drive 11 miles to work and back each day in 30, 50 and 70 zones, plus occasional blast on a back road (with the Dawes switched on)...and have averaged 25MPG !! If I was down at 20/22 I think it would have to go...
