why did you flame the guy dave
Note that it is now stated that everyone appeared to be ok, which is therefore not what I would class as a *nasty* accident (you can get another car, you can't get another life) so appears the first post was a bit misleading

There is an unwritten rule (probably written too)that nobody posts number plates without the owners permission. This is especially important with Police car. An unmarked car might not just be on traffic duty they may be on surveillance catching real scum bags. Posting plates means that there is a record of that car and somebody might see it. This is the internet after all.
If I'm a criminal and I think that there is an unmarked Impreza watching me I can then go on to Scoobynet and see if the plate has been mentioned. Just do a search on Police Cars.
Think about it.

I was approaching an accident on the M3 North @ junction 3 this morning when out of nowhere pops an unmarked green scoob wailing and flashing the blues.

Never mind sparing a thought for anyone in the accident that might be injured, lets all worry about an unmarked car for when we are speeding instead

an accident on the motorway is a regualar thing- i don't think that rich was being insensitive, but more suprised at the irregularity of seeing an unmarked scoob.
as this is a scoob site i don't think that there was anything wrong with his post.
why did you flame the guy dave ?

You ought to post the reg and details anyway. In a years time someone might be thinking of buying that car at auction and any history helps establish the true value. Old or new age?

fair enough dave
just thoguht you jumped on him a bit thats all.
i am sure he thoguht about the people - like we all do (or i hope we all do).
i expect he then thought "oh look and unmarked scoob, i wonder if scoobynetters know about this?" and thus he had an idea for a thread.
don't mean to cause offence - just that people seem to get flamed for what is generally a harmless post by the relentless PC ers.
maybe we need to start a PC forum for all those that are whiter than white

Yep, plain decor police Scoobs are not uncommon in Hants! In Basingstoke there are two red ones and I'm pretty sure that the Green one in question operates throughout the county!
The police obviously running the 'if you can't beat em, join em' campaign!

There is a well known green (obviously unmarked) Police Scoob that operates out of Guildford.
Based out of Luton there are at least three MY01s each a different colour.
The Police have had Scoobs for ages now both unmarked and marked.

wishfull thinking Mark, you don't honestly think the police would go out on surveillance and watch for a scumbag do you when they have far more important things to do changing the film in speed cameras or issuing parking tickets

I have an unmarked Scoob too! (apart from a few stone chips... )
It's green (as the preceptive may have surmised ) and, when I have me white shirt and tie on, people move out of the way and slow down. Making bikers nervous on the M69 is also amusing...
