just a simple question when accelertaing i get a rattle from the engine bay some were or it could be under the car sounds like a thin metal plate rattling anything to worry about or just leave it?

NEVER leave it !!!!

speaking as a mechanic who's doesn't know scoobies it could be anything but never ignore a noise, once you know what it is you can ignore it if it doesn't matter but it may be the start of something expensive if you don't check it out

Question

It may be the turbo heat shield?
Im not sure if MY98's have an undertray fitted though?

ye it does it goes when the turbo kicks in and the vibration evens out can be heared somtimes when i let off to change up )

agree with tinvek - get it checked.

If it's something simple, it shouldn't be too expensive to fix.

If it's something expensive, the longer you leave it the more it could cost in the long run.

Question

Directly over the turbo
Its that silver thing as your looking into the engine with the hot hand thing on (drivers side rear quarter of the engine).

cool mate ta just phoned the garage and they said bring it in and we will look at it so i will go over to then 2 moz
