Another vote for a Trooper. My dad has a 5-seater long wheel base and it's great fun to drive off-road, really comfy on-road, and excellent visibility as well. Performance aint too shabby wither considering the weight of the thing and the fact that it has a deisel engine. It's the only car I've ever seen with two batteries under the bonnet Just don't try and drive it like the scoob. They don't handle round the twisties quite as well

3 kids now, so 'normal' car is 'FULL'
She would like to be able to let them invite a couple of mates home after school, and also when grandparents come to stay, to all be able to go out in the same car...
We went 'proper' off-roading in OZ - Frazer island, - all sand - Brilliant fun - so I am tempted
Personally I would have gone for a Legacy twin turbo or Galant VR4 - I did find somewhere that does Legacy 7 seat conversions

You could of course get the Montego (or Austin) 7-seater wagon... Actually come to think of it, stay as far away from them as possible, the most unreliable car i have ever had or known of. The stuff nightmares are made of
Just get a Land Rover, just like everybody else. Where's your spine mate!! Get an Impreza!!

FHI themselves know the Traviq in it's current form is a failure (cos no 4wd & turbo), so they're now working on a 4wd Traviq prototype.
I guess a Zafira GSi with a Subaru developed chassis & drivetrain package won't be that bad afterall.........
