I'm running EBC grooved disks and green stuff pads. They've lasted for 10k miles so far, but will be replacing them at the next service in a few days because the disks are slightly warped - esp. noticable when braking from high speeds!!

got about 30k miles out of front discs on previous MY99. pads about half that I think. cant remember how long the rears lasted. current RB5 has 34k and discs are about due for change but I dont know if they have been changed before. hope that helps.

How many miles did you put on them? Reason I ask is that I had the same combo on my M3 and the disks warped after about 1000 miles, despite them being bedded in by the book. Examining the disks closely it looked like darker bluish areas on the surface of the disk, together with very tiny surface cracks. The symptoms was a very loud humming when braking from high speed. Needless to say I was not impressed!
