Hi Goosingman
A bit of advice test drive a few cars before you part with your money. I test drove 4 cars around the same age and mileage, you soon can tell which ones have been well looked after and the ones that don't seem quite right.
Also get it fully checked by AA or RAC or someone in the know.
Check this link out for some excellent advice.

Just FYI - while trying to price up my UK MY97 wagon(R-reg) with FSH, air-con and no mods, but with 60k miles, I was told my a dealer they would shift it for £9995, and I'd be lucky to get anything more than that for it on a private sale. They offered my only £8500 if I were to sell it to them!
I know your MY95 has low miles, but it may be a little over priced. From MY97 on the seats are damn near(IMHO) as good as Recaro's anyway.
Cheers,
Steve

I paid 10K for a 95 WRX (m-reg)2 months back, nicely modified to around 300bhp, with scoobysport exhaust etc, it was a little expensive - but with 36K documented miles and in absolutely immaculate condition (confirmed by independant inspection) I think it was worth the extra - i saw some real dodgy examples - Uk and import - with shabby interiors, dodgy paint and various other imperfections - just keep looking till u find the very best u can!! - Have fun - u wont regret it!!

No matter what scooby you get into, it will go like the clappers. Try not to let this cloud your judgement as it's easy to be swayed by performance alone and end up buying a dog of a car. You really should test a few first as has been mentioned by all the other posts on this thread, maybe at a dealers if possible as they will have a selection. Only then will you really know if it's a good example or not.
No rush - there's loads of them out there for sale and this doesn't seem to be that much of a billy bargain.
Hope this helps
