Yep, would agree.. seems less obvious with the 18" Oz wheels.. Thats why I'll be mostly fitting the new prodrive spring kit, which should be out soon...

iceman,
Have you had the geometry of the car checked out?
I know most there was an issue with new cars having wonky geometry, which was throwing out the handling.
Just a thought, before you will a set of tyre prematurely.

The worst situation I had was when 'playing' with a Z8.. we both had to break hard.. it was all I could do to keep the b&gger in a straight line.. and then I got break fade but afterwards I

Thanks for all your comments, I will get the geometry checked out first and then see how things are, I will keep you posted.

I've also had one very scary moment on my MY01 braking from high speed. The car squirmed from left to right. Thought I was going to loose it.
I've since had the geometry done when I had Eibachs fitted. I've not really put it to the test yet, but can recommend having the geometry done. Go for P1 settings, makes a great difference.

I also get the same problem and have to fight to keep control.
Thought it might have been something to do with the Subaru sports suspension option which I ordered the car with, but it sounds like cars with the standard suspension get it too.
I have had the geometry set-up correctly by the dealer and I still get the same problem. Also have annoying tramlining.

Haven't noticed any problems like that yet...
The hardest braking I have done was at Bedford S&F with no problems breaking at the end of the straight and was braking hard at times cos I forgot a few times I didn't have Brembos anymore , DrEvil, or anyone else for that matter, did you experience these symptoms there?
What I have noticed a few times is that when braking moderately hard on a bumpy surface it feels like the ABS is coming on, even though given the speed and braking effort it shouldn't really, most disconcerting. I know for a fact that my old one did not do this. Has anyone else noticed this?
I too have 18 inch OZ wheels, haven't had the geometry checked. Incidentally I find the car tramlines far less than the previous one even with the 18 inch wheels.
Cheers
Simon
