Not driven a Diablo, but have a friend with a Countach (I think they are similar ?).
I think he did well to stay anywhere near you on the twisties, I wouldn't even venture down them. The cars sooo wide, even multi lane roundabouts make you cringe. What makes it worse is they are so much wider at the back than the front, keeping between the white lines is tricky enough. Not fun.
Up to 70 ish, they feel much like an Impreza in terms of G force, but of course, 0-70mph (or something as ridiculous) is first gear ... whereas you'd have made 2 changes in the Pretzel.
I would say, once the Lambo gets above 70, an Impreza would start receding pretty quickly indeed.
And whats the top speed ? certainly not a 'mere' 150mph
I've also been on track with a 4WD Diablo, but I don't think the owner wanted to push the big lardy **** thing too much (he still overtook me easily enough however !! )

I'm with Bob.T on this one - if you could beat the lambo in your old boneshacker - Bob.T would wipe the floor with the pair of you in his Fiesta.
Seriously tho' - purple cars are dead slow
Are you at Brands Hatch ob 12 Nov?

I had my first race the other day in my 6 week old (to me) 95wrx, with a well modded 300zx - i followed him onto the A-1 and he gave it some welly - big twin 4inch exhaust belting out some smoke as he took off- i was chuffed that I sat on his *** all the way to a 120 before i chickened out!! I think ive found my calling in life!

MyDreamCar,
Glad you like your new car mate but be very careful what you post on here, everyone has access to this site including the boys in blue I'm sure you meant 120 kilometeres !!
Jza, think about it......fast cars !!! braking ability !!! think of the film Grease where they are racing for pink slips, Travolta leaves it later than his rival and in consequence wins the day ( and Olivia too boot )

Mellow - i know its a bit late but i may have seen you last week.
It was last Wednesday mid morning, I was travelling up the M5 towards Birmingham from the M42 and I saw what I would swear was a yellow Scoob sat at the traffic lights on the roundabout above the the M5 (junction 4 possibly, cant remember).

Russ,
Yeah I liked that bit too!
That Supra though that they used has nearly 600 bhp on tap and would have wiped its **** with that Ferrari, much more so than it was shown to do. I was laughing too after that race when they pulled up and just turned the engine off. BYE BYE TURBOS.
Mellow,
Not surprised you smoked that Diablo through the twisties having seen you in action, I think a Mclaren F1 would struggle, up to the legal limit of course.
It'll be cool if he comes on NM6. Nice to see other dream machines at these meets like the 2 Stratos replicas at the last one.

Mellow,
I wasn't in my Scoob at the time, it was a white Astra van with a SIDC sticker in the windscreen and 'The National Trust' written down the side! So I'll forgive you for not recognizing me!!
