Is it only the V-Limited cars that have roof scoops

If a car Type-R (STi5) I'm looking at has a roof scoop does this mean its a V-Limited model?
I've had a look on Ravensblade, sidc etc but can't find this specific bit of info.

I had a STI2 v-ltd, obviously with the roof vent, my understanding it is *only* these that have it, I have not seen one on an RA but maybe you can get a RA v-ltd, all gets confusing, someone must know!

all v lims have them, simple as that.

ra or not
type r or not.
is it a wrx sti type r you are looking at or a wrx type r non sti?
if the latter, then you may have yourself a budget P1.

Hi John
Not quite mine's a version VI (MY00).
An STI V type R V-lim should have (head on block):
Sonic blue paintwork (74F).
Blue front seats (STIs have STI stiched into the back of the seats, non STIs have the subaru logo).
Plaque (in front of the gear lever) giving the number (123/1000).
Roof vent.
2 doors
... if it's a version VI
the dash (speedo/rev counter surround) should be blue
it should have the fugly pedal set (aluminium).

Once again it comes down to there being no rhyme or reason for anything.
Have seen wrx non sti type rs with roof vents, andnow been told some dont have them.
I think I will give up on model recognition. Its not an exact science really.
Dont know why someone was makign a pre phase 2 post phase 2 statement, cant see how that came up, unless they were talking to Adam B, in which case I am even more confused and am not going to talk anymmore for fear of my head exploding.

Mine is the same model as Adam B's and doenst have the roof vent but has air con, abs, blue SWRT alcantara seats, blue console and dash etc. etc.

I have a jap import WRX Type R V limited 2 door,No 234/1000 in front of the gear lever, it's Blue, with arthritis inducing roof flap, Air con, it has STi stickers on the lamp covers, but Grey alacantara seats, with V3 and a laural leaf stitched into them, it has a normal silver engine not red like the STI also has gold 5 spokes.
I bought it cos i drove it and a 4 door STI, the STI was a rough car and as soon as i drove this one i loved it and decided i needed this car or life wasn't worth living, The only question is
WHAT THE HELL IS It??!!? I love it anyway though!

my subaru is a bizarre mix :
it's a STi type RA
4 door
roof vent
A/C
blue dash board and console trim
alcantra 555 seats
and a effing HUGE s201 double wing at the back.
apparently it's a circuit edition ( 2000 made according to the sticker. )

I think I looked at the same car as yours last week...
It had a emblem on the back with 97 on it, also this was embroidered onto the seat backs (that were grey) The engine was silver like yours, roof vent etc.
This one had a small rear spoiler though, not the mid normally on the Sti4's, but then this car isn't an Sti it's a WRX so maybe thats why?

Exactly as you say, it sounds like a rare WRX type R (non-STI) v-lim.

Sounds like one of the very last STI VI RA v-lims. I did hear somewhere that they made 2000 of these (as opposed to 1000 ... so that fits).

My car has the mid spoiler, not sure about the 97 emblem on the back though, i will check
Any idea about the power output of this car and why it came about
I had it flat out in 5th on the rev limiter, showed 165 on the clock and it defiantly felt the same as the STI i drove when chosing it
