Well I`ll start then....
UK 00MY; 320PS at Powerstation with an uprated topmount (intake temps in the 70`s) at 6700rpm (ish), 275lbft at 4500rpm (ish).
Since fitted HKS front mount........

Read a lot about big bhp cars recently, obviously Davids and Harveys are street ready but there seems to be a lot that are not and in bits in a garden shed 
. I prefer to drive mine rather than rebuild it every ten minutes . You big bhp boys with cars in bits need to get out more .

Mine is pretty close to yours David at the moment (with relatively low boost pressure compared to yours!), however, just waiting for a final few pieces to be fitted and we will know more!

Just wondered... mines got to be up there with them thats all... I'd go as far as to say p20spd's is one of the 'fastest' due to the power, brakes and suspension...

Cheers David, we both know how quick it goes. As they say its alright having the power, can you translate it to the ground
Personally i think my 338bhp and 313ftlb will not take too long in killing the clutch and gearbox.
Still 338bhp and 313ftlb is still pretty good on standard internals.

Dunno, but just got back to the office! Some copper on a moped has closed the entrance to the inner ring road... He was *really* popular, as there's no explanation... Grrr...

Steven I'd be interested to see how you get on with your clutch and gearbox as I'm running very similar power to yourself (at the moment) and so far my clutch and gearbox have been OK for over 2500k's worth of miles.
I'm also running a MY00 and hence the interest.

Okay, will post mine too then.
MY94 full decat, filter and Dawes, running around 1bar and got 287bhp at the last RR day (start of the month) at Star.
Was quite chuffed considering I haven't done that much to it.

nos nova... the highest I know of that I have seen does belong to a tuning company owner... but it was built by him before he started the business...

It was a chap on I-club a while back, he brings the pictures to the top now and again to scare us all
The issue is if people are going silly on the torque with UK engines this sort of thing will happen, and they should accept the risks. Fine if people understand the risks or the car is/becomes a toy, but don't expect reliability unless (or even if given the pitfalls involved) you do a rebuild over 300 lbft IMHO. It has to be a sliding scale of risk, not xxx lbft is OK xxx+1 lbft is not. Apparently sporadic failures will increase in frequency as torque increases.
For me the gains available for rebuilding the engine and gearbox are not work the £6-10 K minimum it would cost to do it properly given that I need the reliability of a daily driver. A shame because now I have tasted 1.5 bar I do want more.
Found myself looking at 2 year old 20000 mile M5s. I must be getting near to 30. Either that or an Evo which is a bit compromised for daily use IMHO. Or be sensible with the Scooby. Look at the 300lbft+ crowd and the number of drivetrain issues is considerable, several folk with multiple failures of several items on the one car in a short space of time. Maybe starting with something more robust would be a good idea. STi 7 seems a good all rounder as a daily car to mod like mad, but too heavy on the kerbweight IMHO.
Financially it makes very little sense to run a Scooby anyway, but even less to buy an old WRX and then spend big money on it (which I occasionally think of as a toy). But mine and andyf's point is that you dont need to pay that sort of money, yet people will??

If you want it reliable long term you do though. If you ran 350 BHP and perhaps more to the point 340+ lbft long term on standard internals that would be more impressive than making 380 BHP on a single rolling road run. It would also be lucky, because you can keep it det free to give yourself the best chance, but at the end of the day at that torque the poor conrods are in danger. That is in absolutely no way dissing your or Andy's considerable achievements on the budgets you have used, but you both know they are over the edge for reliability. In addition you and Andy are very skilled mechanically, as are folk like Stevieturbo and UKLegacyT, Pavlo etc and all running good power cheaply from the sounds of it. But you are not counting the considerable value in your skills and time. You love doing it of course and I love seeing the photos
