Picture this...

You get your car running... but as you are using eproms you remove the ecu and sit it in the footwell so you can have easy access to it whilst mapping. As you are banned you sit in the passenger seat, and when travelling down a private road following another scoobynet member at speeds over (18.75x4)x2 You decide to back off and get the camera out of the boot to take some artistic photos / video's, when returning to your seat you stand on the ecu board and remove a cap and bend a daughter board over, car then cuts out... bend board back (mounted vertically) and all is ok...

Outcome??

Must refit a new cap and be more carefull... also mount sockets externally on ribbon cable..

Oh and the only reason you were quicker top end was becuase of your wheel size!

That is up there with other ECU mishaps such as programming an ECU in the pouring rain miles from home in a layby and the programming failing and the car being undriveable. I carry a spare ECU and a mobile phone

David relies on me to turn round and "offer assistance"

All i can say is.....

...........any excuse

Told you my friends airfield had enough in it for over 150!!

Must buy him a pint for letting us use it.

Still cant understand how you had more power and more torque, yet i pulled away comfortably (considering) in 4th and 5th
