Tyre Pressure
#1
Hi Guys,
I know that this is bound to have been answered before, but I have just returned to scoobynet after a long absence.
Anyway, the question is, what is the optimum tyre pressure for 205/45/17's, for normal/fast road use.
Muchos Thanks, Rikster

Tyre pressure is very important on the Scooby, and can alter the handling of the car quite a lot.
I have found that 32 / 33 on the front and 30 on the back seems the better "set-up". On 16 inch wheels.... Don't think the size really matters. If you have the front pressure the same as the back, my car understeers more IMHO.
It works for me, and I have played around with it quite a lot...

Is that 0xygen or LPG Phill???
According to the Subaru Manual for the MY01 you should use 33/32 with the OEM 17 tyres. So the above sound about right!!
I thought a lot depends on the tyre itself not the wheel size - so check what the manufacturer recommends you use with their tyre.

Is there anyone out there who is unfortunate enough to still running on 15" Scooby rims like me?
If so what pressures are you running? I'm on 32 all round at the moment but it does feel like I need to load up the tyres excessively whilst cornering.
