Come on people, what you scared of?
Next sunday "Should" be the first ever RallyX event in the UK, USA style which will be a lot of fun.
Right now we are 10 people short of running this rallyX. There are 1000's of members on here, lots of you talk about how cool your cars are and how tallented you are yet when it comes to having a go you dissapear.
Surely you want to embarass the hell out of me. I am crap on the loose but i am going to have a go because its FUN. Winning isnt in my mind, i just want a giggle with my friends and get a fantastic sport up and running in the UK.
Surely there are 10 people out there that want to have a go?

Good on ya john!

There is no charge for spectators.
The BBQ costs £9 per head, but that's what it costs us.
In terms of warranty...
From the discussions I've had with IM, there is no difference between this event and a track day in terms of whether you will lose your warranty. If you've done a track day, then you will stand just as much chance of losing your warrenty. The same if you've done a limit handling training day in your car, etc, etc.
I have to say I'm not that impressed with this decision from IM. I am always a strong supporter, but the stresses on the car in this event will be absolutely tiny (probably less than on the road), but still.. that is their decision, so that's that.
As I said before. Number plates are optional, and your details will NOT be given to anyone, except for valid legal reasons.
You do not have to be timed if you don't want to, it's all a bit of fun really.
We'll make a decision tomorrow pm based on the numbers booked up so far and let everyone know. If it is called off, we will refund everyone's money immediately.
All the best

If you don't want to do it you really shouldn't... It's no sweat, if we don't get this one going, we'll do another one in the future anyway but open it up to everyone.

This is not a scooby only event. Any car can enter, including a poxy Corsa.
I will be driving my Impreza Sport and a 22B. I considered the westie but thats not really practical with the ring trip coming up the following weekend.

Uncle John
I've done a fair bit of walking in the past...just waiting to make sure work aren't going to want me in before I comit to this event. My brother may also bring his GT4...and I may also have a fun GRP N. Scooby coming along from Beechdales driven by David Wood.
I'll know mid week.

Got to follow John in this (as always )
This will be a fantastic event & it's all down to SKILL not HP - that means that for once I have a chane of beating him
As to warranty, I have been a "known" trackday bod (went to an Autocar/Subaru/IM day) & "competed" in speed trials (Revs mag) before. I've had a couple of warranty issues and it has not been a problem. IM are actually very sensible & mature in their attitude to these sort of things IMHO. A little gentle ragging round a grass track is hardly going to stress your poor car & I would guess that it would be unlikely that any warranty claims will result from it.
Anyhow - gives people the chance to show how cr@p a driver I really am
So sign up NOW!
See ya there

I've only had my Scooby just over a week and I've had to put new boots all round on it.
Skint doesn't really describe how potless I am :-(
If it does go ahead (I hope it does) I might be able to afford the petrol to come and watch you guys have all the fun :-)

Arr f**k it. You only live once. AFAIK!
I'm in as a driver.
You taking pax's out Mr. Felstead?
Will there by anything hard for me to crash into? Just thinking of insurance, that's all...
