Question

For those that have had this fitted for afew weeks now just how good is it. Does it really transform the car into something better or was this just an initial reaction by some people.

Anyone know where that graph is that showed in-gear times of standard car against PPP car.

What is fuel consumption like with PPP compared to standard.( Need to know this to explain to Mrs why we need it)

Chip.

My first impressions were that... I was not gobsmack by it's perfomance but very pleased

Now a few weeks on

Performance was not the real problem with the 02STi7 If you drive it to the buzzer it would go like stink
It was the day to day performance... no Torque no take off always in the wrong gear to few Revs to many

PPP has more power more Torque better low speed take off better Exhaust note Keeps warrenty and added value to your car

Tony

Down side !!!!!! Tesco's an extra £16.80 for Insurance and how much are Tyres cause they wont last long now

What did you tell tesco to get that premium? Direct line use the same underwriters, so what works with Tesco should work with DL.

I agree with Tony - it grows on you more as time goes by and you dial into it more. We also have the advantage of comparing it to Carolyn's bog standard STi7. You realise how strangled the standard car is above 6000 rpm, and how the PPP just rolls you along on a BIG wave of torque cross country in fourth and fifth gears.

Even better, I was out in my garage this afternoon and three bits of the exhaust mysteriously fell off; to be replaced with TSL centre and Firestorm back box - it now sounds like it goes - two resonators gone plus a smaller backbox

Also got the 18" Prodrive PFF-7's and Toyos on this afternoon too

For the amount of money you spend on bits a Scoobynet plus account would seem to be a must

HTF do I know?! I just pour it in one end, and burn it out the other

I would hope that my MPG has deteriorated at least 25% in line with the increase in performance

Re ScoobyPlus account, ta but I prefer to discuss my discounts with retailers in private - I might get better ones
Certainly not paying up front for the privilege!

True, but then again you might not ,it also keeps SN going and its less effort

In anycase I think Simon should award you a SN+ account for single handedly keeping the Impreza tuning market boyant in the middle of a recession

I forgot to put the OEM back resonator section on when I went for PPP and forgot me spare keys
The sound of the car is nice and throaty compared to the Std STi but I will be doing a Rolling road day November 16th I will do 2 runs trying my Magnex B/Box for one of them to compare

Nurspec R on mine is hideously loud, I should of known James Harvey was selling it for a reason

Gonna have to run it 90% of the time with the bung in, wonder how it compares with a firestorm ?
