shell optimax petrol

shell have stopped doing super unleaded and replaced it with optimax. so the cashier says anyway! is it okay to use. or will i have to find another garage that does super...

Go for the Optimax it's 98+ RON. I've been using it for 4 or 5 tanks now (MY01). Smoother performance and slightly better consumption. Do a search, there's several other topics about it.

Hiya Gary,
your car will adapt to the optimax very quickly so there is no real need to do an ecu reset but if you want to do it here is how...
Disable your alarm system,
Disconnect your battery making sure that the terminal lead does not touch the bulkhead or any other metal part (use a rubber glove to cover it) give it 20-30 mins, put lead back on and there you go, ecu reset (dont forget to adjust your clock!!)
