Is this an MY01? 'Cos mine do that too.....
I'm assuming it's to do with a fault I seem to have with the temperature control - even on the coldest setting the heaters go cold then warm every couple of seconds. I'm gonna get it looked at when I have the 30k service next month.

Make sure you don't have the air intake on recirc.
I was wondering if a pack of that silica gel stuff found in electrical equipment packaging would help zap moisture..you get sodding great big bags of it inside Compaq servers

Yeah my MY02 has started doing it. Noticed it for the first time yesterday when it was raining and the car was three up. Mine seems to be worse when more people in and if have being in and out car with wet / dampish jackets on.
Suppose it obvious really when start getting in warmish car with wet jackets on though!
Am trying Rain X anti fog this weekend to see if it makes any difference.

Guys, correct me if I'm wrong or have missed something - but you all seem to be turning the AC on COLD in your descriptions. You need it on full blast with HOT to clear up misted windows. Then you don't freeze and it takes about 2 mins the clear the car

DaveR is right. I only found this out a week ago. I'd never thought to use the air con button when I'd set the temperature to hot but it makes a huge difference to how quickly the windscreen clears.

Using the A/C (set to Hot or Cold) as apposed to just the heater, will dehumidify the air circualting around your car and so will clear the windows far more quickly. If it mists up overnight with nobody in it, I reckon you have a water leak somewhere causing damp mats. Look for a source or dampness which is releasing moisture into the air which will then condense inside the glass. If the interior is perfectly dry, then you shouldnt get condensation.

If you run air con with re-circ as you should do to get maximum effect, the windscreen will steam up when you turn it off, and for a few weeks afterwards! I just put it down to the mositure in the air condensing on the cool glass? With re-circ on, where else would it go?
