Can anyone help?

Just fitted the samco induction pipe on my sti v7 and the last hose that connects to below the intercooler doesn't fit no matter how I try. All the rest of the hoses are Samco I wonder if I've got a faulty induction pipe.

Any suggestions welcome.

Scoobysport fitted a Samco Intercooler 3 pce kit for me today after fitting the full de-cat. Looked like the hoses are a very tight fit, I'm glad I let them do it.

Whats the part number of your kit?

On my box it said (in marker pen) TCS168 and then written below in biro it said New Age (biro part probably by the retailer so he didn't mix the kits up!)

Sorry I cant be of more help.

Spoken to samco and they say it should fit however the id on the connecting pipe is 12mm while the aluminium elbow from the induction pipe is od 15mm. I dont think 12mm will go onto 15mm, am waiting for them to ring me back.

mccltd/dave,
Are you asking what difference the Samco hose kit made?
If so, I can't really say. I had them fitted 'cos I was having the de-cat fitted (up-pipe, down-pipe and centre) and the intercooler has to come off for this, so it was easy to fit them at this time.
I went for the Samco hoses as I will be running higher boost than standard soon and the oem pipes can't take it very well.

Car pulls a lot stronger now, and at a lot lower rpm, and keeps on right untill the rev limit.
Sounds awesome too

Cheers,

Bob

Thanks Bob.
I do at the moment have the ScoobySport rear box and centre cat removed.
I take it taking out the downpipe cats etc then start producing a problem with the Mot later on?
How are you going to be running a higher boost?
I a thinking of going for the PPP pack but I want to keep my Scoobysport for the sound unless anything else comes about thats better.

Any Ideas?
