Hi
I'm using someone else's pc today to access and post on Scoobynet.

The thing is, when I leave I dont want other people using my ID to post on scoobynet.

I've just been to the cookies section on the PC and deleted all of todays, but it doesn't stop my user name and password being displayed when the "reply" button is pressed.

What do I do ?

MODS Please leave on here for a bit cos I need to know ASAP

Thanks

BOB

Cool

Assuming you're running on XP or Win2K or similar, go to internet settings via the control panel, and hit the 'delete cookies' button. Unfortunately, that'll kill any other 'remembered IDs' on that machine too.

Alternatively, create a dummy account on SN, and log in to it. It will override the previous account.

Dont do the create a dummy account thing, as it only inflates the member numbers again.

My answer in Computer Related works.

SN ought to use session cookies by default instead, with the option to "remember my ID next time" for more persistence.

On the PC at work I've disabled the cookies and that stopped my user name and password staying on the PC.

Cool

When I use SN on any new PC, it always asks me whether or not I wish to save the password details.

Click the NO button, and you will have no issues.

Regards,
Shaun.

Thanks for the replies, after I deleted the cookies I also deleted the contents of the Temporary ineternet files and History files, it was all clear then.
Back home now so can post again

Thanks
