Just recieved this internal mail (i work in a bank)
Dear All
As a mark of respect to yesterday's horrific events in the USA, we will hold a minute's silence at 1:45 today (in line with The London Stock Exchange and other European Exchanges).
The fire alarm will go off in Derby and Dudley to mark the beginning and end of the minute's silence. Customers who call during this time and whose calls have not already been answered will receive a recorded message informing them of the minute's silence. Those on the phone at the time will be asked if they'd like to observe the silence together or call back.
Please ensure that your mobile phones are switched off.
