I've just bought a 98MY 2 door WRX, Type R, V limited in Blue (jap import), It has a roof flap (no use as far as I can see)A/C and ABS and also a plaque infront of the gear lever say No. 274 of 1000 it also has V3 embroidered onto the front seats

Does anyone know anything about this model?

also at about 90 to 100mph flat out in 4th or 5th gear a Woom woom noise can be heard from the rear (car goes through it no vibration)
the exhaust is not standard but doesn't foul

Any ideas would be gratefully recieved

SIDC faq shud have sum info but as i recall that model wont have ABS btu i kud b wrong it happened once b4

Yeah, its little use except for providing some interesting bits and bobs there is little technical stuff in it.

Could it be tyre noise? I've got that in my car.

 

Don't think its tyre noise, as its only at that specific speed car is fitted wiht the standard Jap spec Yokohama tyres as far as i can make out

I would still like any info on the car as I can't find anything on it on any website, It also has electric windows as well as the ABS but lacks any kind of wheel arch liners, boot trim is sparse but it has no intesting toys like water injection, the engine is also sliver and not red like on an STI
