I'm a little confused and shocked, maybe you lot can help.....

I have just spent the last 6 days traveling around Norfolk in search of an area that my good lady friend and I can buy a large house and move away from this Rat race. Anyways.........

I have just got back having done over 700 miles on some great roads, (straights and twisties) not a speed camera in sight anywhere, Such heaven BUT in this time did NOT see 1 single scooby, parked, being driven, or on a trailer....very strange...

Can anyone explain this Do people up there not drive terrific cars, and with there roads, Cant wait to go back

I was down in Norfolk the other week and saw loads, or to be precise, my daughter sitting in the passenger seat saw loads and would shout out SPEED CAMERA when I was approaching them.
Probably saved me a fortune in fines and points. Thanks Chloe love

****EDIT: Thinking about it most of the camera's we (Chloe) saw were on the route to Norfolk, not actually in Norfolk.
Better than Norfolk is Lincolnshire, it has some EXCELLENT roads

Regarding speed cameras, the "Norfolk Casulty Reduction Partnership" operate them & they advertise daily on local radio (like VibeFM etc ) what roads in Norfolk they are intending to patrol that day.

I'm up there quite often too

 

I LIVE IN NORWICH AND IT IS TRUE THERE AINT MANY SCOOBS ROUND THIS WAY,I SHOULD KNOW I COULDN'T FIND ANY FOR SALE IN THE LAST 2 MONTHS,IT IS TRUE ABOUT THE SPEED CAMERAS ,NORFOLK ONLY HAS 8 CAMERAS IN THE WHOLE COUNTY BUT ONLY ENOUGH FILM FOR 2 OF THEM,THE MOBILE CAMERA LOCATIONS ARE BLURTED OUT ALL OVER THE LOCAL RADIO.

I used to live in Norwich, and loved their relaxed attitude to speeding

.... until I cam flying down the A11 recently to see one of those camera vans parked on the bridge overhead. APs worked well!

 

Perhaps the reason for a lack of Norfolk Scoobs is one of the unhelpful local dealers...I had the misfortune to source mine from there; screwed me on the pt ex.

The road with all the cameras you are referring to is the A17 between Newark and Sleaford (the main artery road into the east from Lincolnshire). The cameras are indeed Truvelos.

There are Gatsos around Thetford I believe, and watch out for the overhead cameras on the bridges (especially on the A47 to Norwich!)
