Cool

Hi,
Just wondered if any other Scoobynetters (if thats the right term) are going to the BTCC at Silverstone this weekend.

Got to be one of the best race events of the year, knocks spots of the Grand Prix.

A few bits of useless info

1. Stress is a major factor in a race. On the start line the driver`s heart will be beating at 190bpm. It will peak at over 200bpm during a hairy overtaking maoeuvre.

2. The rear-wing on the Egg Sport Vauxhall Astra has no aerodynamic effect at all. It is only there to make the car look more aggressive.

3. Before every race a BTCC driver has to drink several litres of water to avoid dehydration as temperatures in the cockpit can reach over 60 degrees Celcius.

4. Each car needs about 400m of electric cables to run at full capacity.

Cheers
